FDA continues to work on improving the way it provides recall information. When there is a food recall, you can visit the Product Recall Page where sorting and search functions now display this information in an easy-to-read format.
These recall announcements include:
- • Description of the food
- • Identifying codes, including the plant number
- • Reason for the recall
- • Name of the producer
- • Distribution information
- • Health risk
- • Contacts at FSIS and the company
If you discover that you have a recalled product in your home, do not consume it. Instead, return it to the place of purchase or discard.
