Recalls

FDA continues to work on improving the way it provides recall information. When there is a food recall, you can visit the Product Recall Page where sorting and search functions now display this information in an easy-to-read format.

These recall announcements include:

  • Description of the food
  • Identifying codes, including the plant number
  • Reason for the recall
  • Name of the producer
  • Distribution information
  • Health risk
  • Contacts at FSIS and the company

If you discover that you have a recalled product in your home, do not consume it. Instead, return it to the place of purchase or discard.
